Where the crowds are in College Station
These are the windows where a banner over College Station works hardest: large outdoor crowds, predictable locations, and flight paths that keep your message over the audience for the whole flight.

Attendance figures come from published event, venue, and organizer estimates unless an event note says otherwise. Impressions are modeled exposures for one standard three-hour flight with about two hours over the event, not measured counts; the full methodology is below. Game-day rows reflect the outdoor pre-game crowd only, since the FAA restricts flight over large stadiums during games.
Why aerial works here
College Station was built for this
College Station has the most lopsided crowd math in this dataset. Kyle Field averaged 106,159 people in 2025, which is more than a third of the entire metro population, in one stadium, seven times a year. There is no NFL team an hour away splitting the audience and no second downtown pulling people the other direction: on an Aggie Saturday the town is the stadium and the ring of tailgates and Northgate bars around it. That concentration means a banner is not competing for attention with anything, and it also means scheduling is simple. There are seven dates that matter, they are published a year in advance, and everyone who lives here already knows which ones they are.
Bryan-College Station is a town of about 290,000 that hosts one of the four largest football crowds in America seven Saturdays a year, with no competing pro market anywhere near it.

How we estimate this
Each estimate starts from the event's typical attendance, discounted by a dwell factor (the share of attendees on site during a flight window) and a per-lap visibility rate (the share of that crowd with a practical line of sight to the banner). Multiplied by the laps flown in a standard flight (three hours, with about two hours over the event; transit to and from the staging field is not counted), that yields modeled impressions: total exposures, counted the way out-of-home media counts them, where one person seeing the banner on three laps counts three times. Unique reach never exceeds the crowd in view. These are modeled estimates, not measured counts, and we share the full math with every quote.
What that means for CPM
On event days like these, aerial typically models out below high-traffic billboard rates (roughly $5 to $15 CPM) and well below premium programmatic video ($15 to $30 CPM), while putting the message over a live, outdoor, phones-out crowd instead of a feed. And because the banner returns every lap, nearly everyone in view sees it more than once: the odds of someone on site for a full flight never seeing the banner are effectively zero.
Venues & flight context
The College Station flight map
Easterwood sits on the A&M campus itself with Class D airspace directly over the stadium, which is unusual and it shapes everything. Operators stage from Coulter Field in Bryan, about eight nautical miles north, and coordinate with Easterwood tower on every approach to the campus. Kyle Field carries the FAA stadium flight restriction from one hour before kickoff until one hour after the game, so game-day flights work the tailgate window, when the campus lots, Northgate, and the Century Tree lawns are already full. Flights hold around 1,000 feet and orbit the campus core, which is compact enough that one lap covers the stadium, the tailgates, and Northgate together.

Proof from the sky
We fly this playbook every season

Jazz Fest, New Orleans
Stacked orbits directly over the Fair Grounds while attendance peaks. Every lap puts the banner back in front of the same tens of thousands of people, and by the end of the flight virtually everyone on site has seen it.

Parade flyover, Chopin Law Firm
A law firm's banner working a Mardi Gras parade route: high linear crowd density, a captive outdoor audience, and a message no billboard on the route could match for attention.
“We hired Pelican Sky to fly our banner over New Orleans and we could not be happier. If you are considering billboards, consider this!”
Justin Chopin, Owner, Chopin Law Firm
“They did a great job of helping us with impactful targeted advertising for our first year music festival, Boots on the Bayou.”

FAQ
College Station flight questions, answered
How much does aerial advertising cost in College Station?
Pricing is per flight, based on flight time and banner type. Aggie Saturdays are the most requested dates in the market by a wide margin, so the date drives availability more than the banner does. Send the date and you get operator availability and a firm quote back fast.
What is the best College Station flight of the year?
Any Aggie home Saturday. A&M averaged 106,159 in 2025, a program record, and a marquee SEC opponent pushes the tailgate crowd well past that. There are only seven of these dates and they are the whole calendar here.
Can you fly over Kyle Field during the game?
No. The FAA restricts flight near stadiums seating 30,000 or more from one hour before kickoff until one hour after the game. Flights work the tailgate window before that. At A&M that window is unusually good, because the campus fills early and the crowd stays outdoors between the lots, Northgate, and the walk to the stadium.
What about Midnight Yell?
It fills Kyle Field again the night before a home game and it is one of the biggest crowds in college sports. It also starts at midnight, and banner flights need daylight, so we cannot fly it. We would rather say that plainly than let you assume it is in the buy.
Who actually flies the banner in College Station?
Vetted, FAA-certificated banner tow operators from our national network, coordinated by Pelican Sky Banners under one contract, one insurance standard, and one point of contact. You brief us once; we handle the operator, the banner, and the flight plan.
How far ahead should I book an Aggie Saturday?
As soon as the schedule publishes. Seven home dates, one aircraft on task at a time, and every advertiser in the Brazos Valley wanting the same three of them. Other dates usually need a couple of weeks. Custom printed billboards add roughly two weeks of production lead time.
